Laws Every Blog Owner Should Know and Follow
Posted on 20. Nov, 2009 by Ashwin in Blogging
Many bloggers despair the lack of traffic to their blogs. They go through “paranoia” induced by the lack of incoming cash flow which is a direct result of no incoming traffic. It is not so because your blog is bad, uninteresting or unattractive; it’s just that you are not approaching it in a way it should be done. Often, solutions to our problems are simple and most of these solutions require action on your part. Here are laws you should follow to explode your sales and hence profits:
The law of Attraction
Rhonda Byrne in her book “ The Secret” has revealed the ‘secret’ that has been held for centuries by some of the greatest and the most successful people the world has ever seen. The secret is actually the law of attraction which is simple, yet profound. It states that you must assume that you already own or possess whatever it is that you wanted. Bloggers should then should assume that they already got the traffic you need to be successful.Don’t question this and don’t ask how it works — it just does. Once you do this, the universe has a strange way to throw things your way and allow opportunities to crop up from sources hitherto unimaginable.
The law of Consequence
The law of consequence states is pretty simple. Look at the equation below:
B –T–F–W–A–H–C–R
It stands for
Belief — Thoughts — Feeling–Words–Action–Habits–Character–Results
That explains everything, doesn’t it? Most people do not succeed at whatever it is that they want for themselves and that’s not because they can’t do it; it’s that they don’t believe they can. Starting from that poor belief about themselves, the chain reaction follows. Ultimately, they fail to achieve. Think of a blogger. There is a process you need to follow to become successful. It starts with picking a niche, researching to find the best keywords, developing content, posting regularly and finally, follow and entire process of building back-links and traffic to make yourself successful. How many follow that process? Why is it that so many people give up even before the process is completed? You get the drift now, Don’t you?
The Law of Averages
Sales has been, is and will always be a numbers’ game. You can’t show your back to the fact that for every 10 calls you make, approximately 7 prospects might give you an appointment of which 3 will say “yes, I will think about it”and finally, 1 might buy. That’s how the law of averages works; it cuts through your numbers and gives you the conversion ratio – a crucial metric you must know. Once you know your conversion ratio, you could work your way backwards and then commit to the number of calls you should be making.
Blogging isn’t rocket science and it works on the law of averages just the same. What is the level of traffic you are getting? Let’s assume that the only action you want your readers to take is to sign-up for your free report. If you get 1000 visitors per day (assuming that it is an interested audience) and only 10% sign-up, you have a whopping 100 sign-ups per day. All you have to do is to worry about how to get those 1000 interested people to your blog.
It’s the laws; pay attention to them. Just following this could change your life.
