3 Ways To Make Your Blog Larger Than Life

3 Ways To Make Your Blog Larger Than Life

Being ordinary can kill you; well, almost. Really, nothing ordinary can really entice, entertain or even be memorable. Most blogging is ordinary and that’s precisely why thousands of blogs are buried into the wild bobbing waters of the turbulent, competitive blogosphere. We don’t really notice, just doing whatevery one else is doing is the ‘default’ mode programmed into us through evolution. It takes effort to do something else and that’s why not everyone does that. Here are some ways you can be extra-ordinary with your blogging efforts:
Write spectacular content: It’s obvious that your readers love to read your blog for the ideas, information, inputs, etc. Writing spectacular content is a sure way to come across as extra-ordinary. Find ways to sprinkle your content with powerful words, discuss things never discussed before and have a way to stir controversy whenever you can. Content on your blog should inspire, educate, motivate and solve people’s problems.
Contribute to Charity: I love to read the features and articles in escapeartist.com and I was reading this article titled “Living in Thailand — Look at Little Sister” by Bart Walters.I enjoyed the article but what really got my attention is that he has lived in Thailand for more than a decade now and is trying to raise funds for Care4Kids — an effort to raise cash for an orhpanage in Thailand. I loved that. I feel like doing something similar and this drives me straight to point — contribute to charity. Apart from making you  feel good, many people will respect you and love you. You don’t have to go out of the way, just think of contribute a small percentage of every sale you make on the Internet to charity.
Do the unthinkable: What are the wildest things you could do? Have you ever thought of actually traveling all the way to another country just to meet your regular readers? How about sending some special gifts their way? Did you think of picking up the phone and calling them up? Perhaps you could promote your readers’ events, individual efforts, services or products even without their asking? You could commend someone’s efforts perhaps?  When you do any of the above things you are going to make a lot of difference to people’s lives — that’s not ordinary, is it?
What ideas do you have to be larger than life? To become memorable.

Ashwin, that is really great! I think that your readers love it when you write something that even surprises you.

I have had a couple of moments where I was like, ‘That is amazing. how did I write that?’ and I think it is those posts that will really grow your blog.

@Tom — I am now looking at ways I can improve my skills so as to be able to mesmerize readers with some really great content. I have a lot of things going for me at the moment but I am back to reading copywriting greats like Gary Halbert and Michael Fortin.
