A Blogger’s Guide To Better Health

A Blogger’s Guide To Better Health

Posted on 23. Jan, 2010 by in Blogging Elements

What the heck am I doing here talking about health plans on Blogging Elements that actually focuses on blogging for beginners? Whatever it is that I am talking about is probably more important that all that I have been talking about until now. Without proper health, all your dreams– making your blog stand out, generate revenue, use it as a source for extra income, etc.,– would never come true. Blogging is something you do on computers and that’s the worst thing to do to your body. Here are some tips to keep yourself healthy so that can blog better:

Wake-up early and exercise: Common, eh? I don’t mind going the conventional way here because no matter many times you read this, chances are that you haven’t moved your butt even an inch. Laziness reigns supreme, doesn’t it? I implore you to get up tomorrow morning and walk briskly or jog with some other exercises thrown in for good measure. No excuses; go do it.

Eat and drink moderately: What goes into your mouth can never really be undone; it’s done and over with. Again, this is a piece of advice being handed down from generations all over the world and yet no one bothers. Food, when taken appropriately, is miraculous and has amazing healing powers. Do it the wrong way and you will lie on the right wing of your local hospital. The choice is yours; eat well or ring the trouble knell.

Work in spurts and take breaks: While working on a computer, your eyes really take a lot of strain. Don’t forget to blink more often while looking at your computer screen and make sure that you take your eyes off the screen often. Look around for a while, whenever you can. Don’t work continuously on your laptop or PC. Working in spurts – like for an hour at a time with a 10 minute break thrown in between each hour – is known to make it easy to work and also helps you to be more focused and productive. Rest well and take a good number of breaks – the earth isn’t going to be off from under your feet.

I have taken to jogging on the beach for about an hour each morning with my friend. I find it really get’s my mind working.

Food is the one thing that I struggle with. I find that I get so engrossed in my work that I forget to eat and drink which is not healthy.
