Blogging Lessons From The Remarkable Human Body

Blogging Lessons From The Remarkable Human Body

Posted on 11. Aug, 2009 by in Blogging

I recently had a slight muscle tension thing and you can well imagine the agony and pain even a slight muscle sprain could do to you — it wreaks havoc. The human body is alarming and also frustrating at the same time: it shows remarkable prowess when it comes to recuperating from many illnesses, but it shows least resistance to something as silly as sleeping on the wrong side. The human body, as luck has it, has a few lessons for us bloggers:

1. It’s a system, don’t abuse it: The human body is a system. There are things that ought to be done in a certain way. Wake up and sleep at particular times, feed your body the right kind of food and allow muscles to be free by doing good amount of exercise. Blogging is just like that — you can’t abuse the best practices. Writing posts must be done on time, tags must be added, images must be tagged along with the posts. Posting frequency or the consistency must never be jeopardized.

2. When it hurts, it hurts bad: The system will run perfectly well until it is hurt. Once hurt, it will hurt real bad. I am sure you agree with me if I told you how agonizing a backbone pain would be or how traumatizing a fracture can be. Blogging, as a system, can fail too. Your niche is redundant, your posts aren’t of great quality, you don’t promote your blog as needed — it will pull your blogging system down. Don’t let that happen.

3. The human body is a remarkable machine: It is unbelievable as to what the body is capable of achieving and the same goes out to a blogging system with you playing the central part in it. Whatever you set your mind to, you could do it. Ideally, your blog should motivate, inform, educate, sway, move and your readers must just love you for who you are. It is then, that a blogging system will start behaving just like the human body and be capable of producing miracles that can astound you, to say the least.
