Cloud Computing for Bloggers: Blogging On The Cloud

I think It’s time to bring blogging and “cloud computing” together. I see a lot of benefits cloud computing has for us bloggers. The ability to be completely web-based without any heavy dependence on machines like laptops, desktops and home/office based servers is often too tempting to think of. But would it work for bloggers? Here are different ways bloggers can use cloud computing to their benefit:
Going machine Independent and web-based: You no longer need to depend on machines for getting your work. For example, nothing happens when you lose your laptop for some reason or if it is damaged during travel. By using web-based applications which are much similar to Microsoft Office, you are effectively transforming to complete machine independence and working on the cloud. Think about what that can do to your blogging experience — no missed post deadlines, great consistency and automatic storage of whatever you do on servers that are located remotely.
Leverage Technology and Blog Better: What would automatic time-tracking software and other time management software do for your blogging business? Would it increase your productivity? Can it help you blog better and help you be more consistent in blogging? Would it help you to better utilize your time for important activities like building your email list, promoting your blog and other parts of blog management.
Complete Location Independence:The mere fact that you don’t need to depend on any machine could immediately give you the freedom to work from anywhere and at anytime you wish. Well,you don’t really need cloud computing when you know you could manage and still work on this location independent business opportunity. I am talking more about not having anything to do with any one location.
Once on the web, you are completely on another layer of business productivity. You depend on services — cloud computing services — and not much on your local vendors anymore.You could use accounting software, PC software and hardware support and some incredible productivity tools like automated scheduling and even some other software that help synchronize your smart-phones to the web making you productive even while on the move.
Everything happens on the web now and it happens even better than earlier. So, have you taken your blog on to the cloud yet?

You forgot to mention the increases in productivity by web enabled collaboration. For example, online accounting software allows your sales team, your accounts team, your accountant and even your customers and suppliers to access and enter the data relevant to them.

We have spent a fair amount of time over the past six months trying to do a few of the things you listed above, it’s no easy task but it’s a pleasure in other areas.

@StuaSrt McLean:
If ytou actually bring in the plethora of benefits cloud computing, there are wayt oo many bnefits. But then, I realized that the cloud isn’t for everyone. It so happens that some individuals, freelancers, small business owners and even companies might not be very comfortable with their data floating on that cloud. Just how secure is the cloud?
That’s Right
