Easy Tips To Boost Backlinks For Your Blog
Posted on 20. Apr, 2009 by Ashwin in Blog promotion
Google views backlinks — the sites or blogs slinking back to your blog or site — as one of the most important aspects when it comes to ranking your blog. It is also based on this factor that Google starts listing the blog according to the keywords your blog is based on. How then, would you improve your backlinks? How can you increase it on your own without waiting for other blogs or sites to notice the apparently great content on your blog? It’s hard work, but it can pay off.
1. Ezine Articles and other Article directories: One of the hottest, most happening and incredibly popular ways to ensure that your blog gets some serious backlinking-on-steroids is to enlist some articles and post them on ezinearticles.com and some other article directories like goarticles.com etc. The trick is to write high quality articles that are picked up by other webmasters who will post your articles with your resource box in it (which apparently has a link back to your own blog).
2. Hubpages: Although the primary interest on hubpages is to earn money through adsense and other such direct or indirect methods, it can be used as a great way to write articles and posts that you can use to link back to your main blog whenever you make a relevant mention. Your efforts with hubpages achieves three things for you: alows you to earn more money through adsense and other programs, establishes you as an expert in the particular niche you are writing content on and finally, it helps you to link back to your blog whenever something about the blog — or the niche it is on — is mentioned.
3. Squidoo: This was supposed to be Google’s favorite; but it comes with its own pet peeves, faults and advantages. There have been occasions when my efforts with squidoo have been thwarted because Google slapped the IP addresses on random. On a much more positive note though, squidoo lenses (that’s what the pages on squidoo are called) are easy to set up and allows for a lot of other ways to earn money apart from your main intention of increasing backlinks to your blog.
4. Bukisa: This is a rather new entry into the hall of fame, but any content on it is easily found through Google. Its pages are well ranked on Google and this site also allows for monetization and earnings — often on a recurring basis. The writing and posting of articles is the simplest in Bukisa’ s case and they have half as many restrictions as ezinearticles.com has, for instance. A great way to add more backlinks to your blog is to start writing articles and link back to your blog, as usual.
Have you heard of any more great backlinking tips? If you did, it would be great to share it here with us on the comments section. We would love to hear from you.
