How To Push Yourself To Blog Consistently

We have always been emphasizing on the importance of blogging consistently and how success of a blog comes to rest on that one aspect alone, among other things. But we are all human and there are days when you just don’t seem to be able to bring yourself to post. It could be days when you have too much work or something else would come up that would take your mind off blogging. Is there a way we can overcome this seemingly possible problem? There is:
1. Will Yourself: One of the most obvious things for you to do would be to force yourself to fulfill the commitment you had made to yourself and to your readers and bring yourself to write that all important post no matter what happens. It is easier said than done and I know it, but it is very important to get that post live at the particular time it is due. Not writing a post is tantamount to snatching a magazine off your reader’s hands right when she decided to sit down for a nice read.
2. Use the “Publish Later” Option on WordPress: WordPress is truly a magnificent blogging platform and allows you to do certain things that can help you combat the ” unavailability” problem that we are talking about. If and when you do have a faint idea that you might be unavailable during a part or whole of the week in the future, you can write the posts today and click on “edit” that shows up immediately near ‘Publish Immediately” while posting. Edit the time day and time into the future and the posts are now all set to go live at that time on the day specified.
3. Outsource: Many of the bloggers find that it makes tremendous amount of sense to outsource the entire work of blogging to someone else — mostly a ghostwriter or professional blogger — who would work on a telecommuting basis. This is often not recommended for a blog that is just starting out but is a great idea if you find the right person to outsource it to. You may find some great writers and bloggers on elance and guru.
4. Guest Blogging:An interesting and clever way to get more blog posts, regular feed of content and considerable buzz around your blog is to have others contribute to your blog in exchange for money or a ” resource section” or both. By doing gues blogging, new bloggers get to showcase their articles ( and hence their expertise) and then also let the readers visit his or her own blog.
