By now you should pretty much have your website somewhat completed are at least started. We need to drive traffic to your site and let the surfers know it exists, thats were marketing comes in. You have already started to market your site by building your links in your website. There are many ways to market your site and we are going to cover a few of them here.

Good Search Engine Optimization
This is by far the most important for marketing your money making site and drawing traffic. With good SEO startegies you can get your website to rank well with the search engines, the mojority of internet users use search
engines to find what they are looking for. This means there is alot volume and most important it’s free traffic. Your goal is to rank in the top five positions for your target keywords.

Link Building
Good link building is important for two reasons, one it helps get better pageranks, when search engines crawl your site for it to be placed and see that your website is linked to lots of other relevant high ranking sites it labels your site a relevant and thus puts your site higher in rankings for your target keywords. Number two when you have many links out on other sites those sites surfers have a doorway to your site which brings in traffic.

P.P.C. Or Pay-Per-Click Advertising
Pay-per-click is probably one of the most popular marketing strategies out there. What is pay per click advertising? well it’s exactly that you pay for every click that your link receives. basically in search engine listings they have a spot on the side your paid advertisement, so if you don’t place highly in the search engines you can pay to get those spots. In recent years pay per click advertising has gotten more popular resulting in popular keywords being more saturated with competition and bid prices per click going higher. But that doesn’t mean there is no room for you, you just have to use better strategies to get higher placement.

Paid Advertising
Paid advertsing is pretty self explanitory, basically you pay other websites to put your link, banner or button on their site for a fee. Most high traffic websites offer advertsing because it adds another income stream to their site.

These are just a few internet marketing strategies and there are many more. Any time you can get a link to your site placed somewhere else on the internet you are marketing your site. You can use websites like Ebay, Myspace and Craigslist just to name a few, to market your site. But always remember when advertising on the internet make sure you advertise to your target audience. This way you are advertising to people interested in what you have to offer.
