KILL BILL and Microsoft all together . all their work is based on games, and for working programs they don’t give a shit. right now i have AVEVA and ACAD 2011 and to make them work i had to install more then 1 gb of their stupidity from .NETframework, visual c++ 2005 and 3 times 2008 (even more stupid if you ask me), and other windows crapy updates

The interface is completely changed. Auto-formatting of captions and citations is hopelessly broken and non-functional. Styles do not stay – Word reverts to default no matter how many times you change it. Randomly reformats document to new text/spacing/alignment. Text flow around images hopeless broken and non-functional. Basically – it all looks different, nothing works, and there appears to be no hope if getting it fixed any time soon. Save your money and sanity, buy an older version such as 2003, download the free converter so you can read documents from people who have unfortunately “upgraded” to 2007, and wait until the next release. Or two. Or three. Or for a competitor to come out with a functional word processor. Basically – this is the most useless suite of applications I’ve ever had the misfortune of owning. Avoid it.

Try running office 2003 in Vista (because you dislike the new office even more than the last). It seems then are purposefully making this difficult so you have to buy office 2007. I’m sitting here using excel 2003 while listening to music with headphones. Everytime I do anything in excel it is beeping loudly in my ears. I’ll try to turn the noise off now, but MS makes me apathetic because it sucks so bad. It seems like trying to customize a car that you hate and is about to stop working.

Excellent posting , You definately hit the
nail on the head, I just don’t understand why people quite get what you’re saying.
I’m not for sure how many people I’ve talked to about this very
thing in the past few days, and they just don’t grasp it.

Me too. I am looking to buy a Macbook Air for myself too; it is expensive so it will be worth saving for.

Until then, I think I will just go to the cloud and work there.
