Unique Offline Promotion Ideas For Your Blog

As bloggers, we are usually online and rarely venture out to seek radically different approaches to blog promotion. I was just thinking about the vast opportunities that are available for bloggers to promote their blog and three options immediately sprang to life.

Promotions or advertisements of any kind are most effective when they receive as many eye-balls as they can; it’s even better when audiences have all the time in the world and do nothing but think about what you have to say while looking at your promotions. Based on that line of thought, here are some awesome ideas for offline blog promotion:

Meet Your Potential Readers at The Airport

At the time of writing this, I am presently flying to Bangkok as a part of my experiments with location independent living. Due to flight-hopping, I end up waiting for a rather long time for my next flight out. Sitting here with the laptop, mid-way into my journey, I couldn’t help but notice the sheer gloom, utter boredom and really long waiting times most of the travelers endure. Surprisingly, none of the advertising spaces are being used.

Even when used, the copy used isn’t effective. I was thinking about what copy I could use to attract people to visit bloggingelements and here some of the ideas that came up.

“ You Could Be Blogging Instead of Waiting and Doing Nothing”

“ Why Don’t You Make Some Money By Blogging While Waiting For Flights?”

“ We Think You Should Let the World Know about Your Travels”

I am not a copywriter, but you get the idea, don’t you? Maybe you could extend this idea to train stations too!

Hospitals and Clinics: I remember waiting for a marathon 2 hours before I got to see a doctor when I contracted flu a few months ago. While people are waiting there for their turn to mee the doctor, I noticed that they are in a reflective mood. They sit there and think about their present condition and why it must have occurred. Perhaps they would be making resolutions about having a healthier diet or do a stringent exercise regimen. If you a blog in the health, diet and nutrition niche, don’t you think your pitch here would be powerful?

“ Find Miracle Cures for Diseases So That You Don’t Have To Come Here Again”

“ If Only You Knew Better, You Wouldn’t Be Here”
