Unleash The Power of Humble Blogging

Unleash The Power of Humble Blogging

I have been doing sales for as long as I can remember as a profession and also as something that has to be done for my business anyway. Of course, the Internet has made it simple for me to get clients, but my offline businesses still demand that I do it the old school way. Unmistakably, being humble landed me many clients just because I am instantly likable. When I run on just my fancy title, authority, skills or achievements I tend to piss people off.

When I am humble and I approach people with respect;they like me. They like the fact that they are important in that moment and time. Their ego gets a quick massage and they would feel top of the world. I make my sale and leave. I also make a friend.

So what has all this got to do with blogging?

A lot. What if the voice we talk so much about within the blog says whatever it wants, opines, informs and educates, shares but does it all with a huge margin of respect to the reader? What happens if the blog posts reek of humbleness, humility and character? What would happen if I suck up to my readers’ ego?

My blog would be liked, respected, loved, linked to and spread about. It would become the go-to place for the niche I operate in, even though there might be better blogs or better websites around.

Think about it this way: You are extremely skillful, talented and creative. You are imaginative and incredibly hardworking. But still, your incompetent colleague gets the promotion and not you, because your colleague happens to have a great rapport with your boss. Point made.Case Closed.

This is just a wild thought because I am yet to figure out how to show humbleness through my posts. Would just being truthful and honest about everything do? I am yet to figure this out. What do you think can help? Can it be done at all?
