What Makes For Spectacular Posts on Your Blog?

No matter what niche you are in, the quality of your content can make or break your blog’s success. In spite of that, most of the posts we see on many blogs are, well, mediocre. I was just thinking about what might make for a great post and I think it has to have all the elements mentioned below to rock:

Posts That Matter: You speak as you write and if you say something that matters to you or to your readers or both, you have it working for you. It is important that you don’t rant and rave about 5 things in a single post but focus and writing about a burning issue that matters. Write about something that bothers, irritates,or hurts.

Posts That Rattle: Are you guilty of sucking up to your readers? Do you write with a timid voice that fears to tread on someone else’s toes? Do you have the guts to comment, negate, oppose, fight, or agree? Do you write posts that rattle? No post is worth it if it doesn’t shake things up a bit.

Posts That make a difference: If what you write can bring about some sort of difference in your redaers’ life, your blog has more than just a domain name and a hosting account — it now has respect. It pulls in readers and there is this indescribable aura around it. Do that and see how famous your blog becomes.

Posts that can change someone: If someone changes for good after reading what you write, you are on the right path. Nothing matters as much as change does. Nothing changes the way change does and nothing can make your blog popular if bringing about change in others can.

Posts that can take your readers’ breath away: Finally, mediocre posts won’t work. Try to knock your readers’ breath away. Swipe them off their world into another one where they play the lead role — that of a protagonist. Lead them to believe that they are better than they think they are and make them sway to the sound of your voice through your posts.

Write posts like that and I don’t see why your blog won’t rock the blogosphere. It would be linked to so much that your bandwidth bill can make you faint. What say you?
