Why Blogging Is Here To Stay

Why is Blogging here to stay? Blogging is today what the journal was before the computer age, but with many added features. Some people are under the impression that blogging is only for computer geeks and tech savvy people. Although the word blog came from “web log,” blogs are much more than just a log or journal–they are, at their base, a tool; a tool for marketing, expression and documention of… anything! Of course, blogging can also be a form of extra income. Blogging can also be a great tool for writers who are wanting to boost publicity, as many use it largely as a promotional tool for their career. People like Seth Godin have jump-started their career by becoming famous bloggers in conjunction with being popular traditional book writers. For many, (and often to their utter surprise!) blogging has led to fame and being known for having expertise in their area of focus.
Who can be a Blogger? Anyone can. Some people say that they lack the technical know-how to either write or manage a blog of their own. This misunderstanding holds many people back from blogging. Anyone can get a basic blog set-up and start blogging within hours! To set up a professional, self-hosted blog may take a little longer, but still can be done with minimal amounts of research. For those who want to start a blog but simply don’t want the hassle of blog hosting and set-up, a webmaster can easily be hired to complete this unwanted task for you. These webmasters for hire can be found at forums.digitalpoint.com with the job costing, on average, around $150.00. (This topic will be discussed in greater detail in a future post) Blog Setup
How has Blogging helped you personally?
Do you think it’s here to stay?

Hi Mike, I’m not an IT literate. I was a motoring photo-journalist during the late 80s and early 90s. At present I’m a novelist and script writer. With my passion in writing, I start blogging and I’m trying to earn some money through it. I just hope to get some tips from you.
